With his vast knowledge spanning vessel maintenance, operations, refits, and repairs, Dennis provides dependable leadership focused on safety, efficiency, and long-term vessel value.

This role ensures the reliable operation and peak performance of luxury vessels through hands-on technical oversight and effective project execution. Long-standing relationships throughout the marine industry—combined with excellent communication skills—allow Dennis Allen LTD to work seamlessly with yacht and boat crews, local boatyards, vendors, dockmasters, and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Oversight: Direct and maintain all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and longevity.

• Project Management: Lead dry-dock periods, refits, and major repair projects, including contractor selection, scheduling, and hands-on shipyard supervision.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Flag State, Class, ISM, and insurance requirements.

• Budget Management: Prepare and manage annual maintenance budgets, track expenses, and negotiate vendor and contractor agreements.

• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and schedule engineering and deck maintenance personnel, maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and accountability.

• Industry Liaison: Maintain strong, professional relationships and clear communication with yacht and boat crews, boatyards, vendors, dockmasters, and service providers.
